There's nothing like a brand new pinball game or one that looks that way. But getting your game to look day-one fresh can be difficult, especially if there is any damage to the playfield.
Many pinball games entering the secondary market have some playfield wear, after years of arcade play. The best way to completely repair it is to install a new playfield.
This is certainly not a task for novices, nor is it required to enjoy the game. But for the collector that wants a perfect machine, a new playfield is a must.
